Tấn Thành is among the few born- in- 2001 students who are admitted into the PVF Cohort 3-2011 (most students born in 2001 are admitted into Cohort 4-2012).

Despite not having a desirable physique, Tấn Thành is capable of selecting spots effectively and scoring acuteness. He has therefore been the top choice for the coaches to fill in the line-up.

During his five years practicing with PVF, he was named champion of the International U12 Vietnam-Japan in 2013, ended up in the Third place of the U14 International Football Tournament in Thailand in 2015 with the PVF U14, named Runner-up of the National U15 in 2015 and 2016 (with the PVF U15). Also in 2015, Tấn Thành beated 32 contenders from across the country to earn a sole ticket to the world final of the Football Dreams Program at the Aspire Academy in Quatar.
